Face to face appointments available from Mid-May.
Whatever your race, colour, religion, gender or sexual orientation you are welcome at Vyne Counselling.
I'm based in the centre of Basingstoke and offer both online and face to face sessions giving me the flexibility to work with anyone in the UK. Sessions are private and confidential, giving you the confidence to speak openly about your feelings and different aspects of your life at a pace that feels right for you. As your therapist I will listen in a way that friends and family rarely can, keeping you as the focus.
Having regular therapy with me will help you gain a new perspective on whatever is troubling you. We will look at what is working for you right now and what isn't. We'll talk about your options, enabling you to make changes where you can and accept what you can't.
Whatever your reason for seeking therapy, you'll find it an empowering process which improves your wellbeing.
I offer a free 30-minute, no obligation, consultation, where we can meet and talk about why you want counselling. You can ask me any questions you have and get a feel for what it would be like to see me regularly. You can book ongoing appointments there and then or take time to think about it.

I qualified as a Counsellor in 2013 having gained a Foundation Degree in Humanistic Counselling based on Transactional Analysis (TA). A year later I passed a Post Qualifying Diploma in Counselling Children and Young People. In 2015 I set up Vyne Counselling which I ran alongside my job as a School Counsellor in a local Secondary School. As my reputation grew and my client numbers increased I made the decision to go self employed and focus on my business which I have been doing since 2018. I am a Registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by their code of ethics. I also hold a current Enhanced DBS certificate, (Disclosure and Barring Service) which means I undergo annual checks to ensure I do not have a criminal record and that I am safe to work with young people.
Working ethically as a Counsellor involves attending regular Supervision and Professional Development Events. I meet with my Supervisor twice a month and go to various Training Days to ensure my knowledge is current.
I don't possess special powers that mean I can 'fix' you however I do have the training and experience that helps me to listen to you in ways that friends and family can't. I have the skills to help you discover why you act or feel the way you do and then together we can find solutions that will give you the option to make the changes you want.
Knowing your child is not coping emotionally is really hard, advice from friends and family can be really valuable but there are times when you need the help of a professional.
I have worked with young people for over 20 years and know that they can feel overwhelmed by their feelings. Anxiety, self-harm, anger, being withdrawn are all signs that something is not right with their internal world.
As their counsellor I will offer them an opportunity to talk, without feeling under pressure. Every session is tailored to their specific needs.
I will help them see that emotions are good and not something to try and get away from as they serve a purpose. I will help them have the confidence to speak up when things aren't right and ask for what they need.
